Study of Kinetics of Aging of γ' precipitate in Nickel-Aluminum superAlloys
'-phase precipitation in the irregular basis of the γ-phase in Ni-18Al alloy (atomic percent) as a model of nickel-based superalloys. After annealing, the samples prepared from the above alloy were subjected to aging process at a temperature range of 500 to 900 °C. The samples were analyzed by hardness test, dilatometry and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) methods. The results of these studies were compared with the results of JMatPro software and mathematical models of predicting aging behavior. Hardness measurements were performed at different temperatures and times and the hardness peak was found to be 700 °C and 60 minutes. From the results of dilatometry analysis, it was found that the precipitation mechanism is nucleation and growth at temperatures above 600 °C and the precipitation mechanism changes at temperatures below 600 °C and Spinodal Phenomenon is likely to occur. The results of DSC analysis were compared with the hardness test and dilatometry analysis and it was Corresponded.
